What is this course about?

• This is a 3-day trainer led course, designed to give business people first-hand experience of testing real systems in a controlled environment
• It covers both System Testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
• It uses role-playing within a simulated testing environment, so delegates leave the course with practical experience of testing systems
• It is a workshop style course, based around many worked examples and practical exercises
• It demonstrates testing methods and principals that are applicable to any type of system

• The course is aimed at business people who have completed our Essential Software Testing Skills course
• However, it is also suitable for business people who hold the ISEB Foundation Certificate in Software Testing.
• Maximum group size is 12

• Planning and scheduling System Testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
• Identifying test conditions and writing test scripts
• Running test scripts and recording evidence
• Finding, documenting and managing defects and the process for re-testing them
• Performing testing in a Project environment, from start to finish
• The relationship between Developers and Testers and how to manage it
• How to prioritise testing when testing timelines are reduced
• Managing multiple testing tasks efficiently
• How to interact with Test Managers, Project Managers and other senior project staff

• This is a unique course because it is aimed specifically at business people who have gained a basic knowledge of IT and Software Testing and want to gain practical, hands-on experience of System Testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
